Wrightons honored by Provident for dedication to St. Louis region

Washington University in St. Louis Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton and his wife, Risa Zwerling Wrighton, will receive the inaugural “Spirit of Provident Award” early next year from the nonprofit agency Provident, which offers counseling, crisis intervention and community outreach.

The award is to recognize members of the greater St. Louis community whose achievement and dedication advance the quality of life in St. Louis. The Wrightons will receive the award during Provident’s annual gala, which will be held Feb. 26, 2016, at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis. Chancellor Emeritus William H. Danforth will serve as chair of the gala.
