Ring in the fall with barbecue and football Saturday, Sept. 28

Washington University’s Alumni & Development will host its annual fall festival Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Danforth University Center.

A barbecue lunch and children’s activities will take place until 1 p.m. The lunch will include bratwurst, hot dogs and burgers, among other fare, salad, dessert and soft drinks. Children’s activities will include face painting, a football toss and pumpkin decorating.

Kickoff for the WUSTL Bears football game against Centre College is at 1 p.m. During a special halftime ceremony, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton will introduce the student-athletes as well as celebrate former letter winners.

The event is $15 per adult, $5 per child (ages 6-12), and free for children 5 and younger and Eliot Society members. The event is $5 for WUSTL students, but free if they register in advance. Prices include both the barbecue and football tickets.
