Joseph Cherabie, MD, an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been named a clinical ambassador for the national “Let’s Stop HIV Together” campaign, which is led by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The campaign aims to end the HIV epidemic in the U.S. by empowering communities, partners and health-care providers to reduce HIV stigma and promote HIV testing, prevention and treatment.
As a clinical ambassador, Cherabie plays a vital role in promoting the campaign among clinicians and raising awareness of the evidence-based resources available to health professionals working in HIV prevention and treatment.
