Performance artist Tim Youd retypes “The Franchiser,” the fourth novel by Stanley Elkin, in Holmes Lounge Jan. 26. The project was sponsored by the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis in conjunction with the exhibition “Tim Youd: St. Louis Retyped.” Elkin taught in the Department of English in Arts & Sciences from 1960 until his death in 1995.
