The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration is now accepting applications for the fall 2023 Emerging Leaders Program, the Leadership Excellence and Development Program and the WashU LEAD Coaching Program.
Announced in February by Chancellor Andrew D. Martin, the Institute for Leadership Excellence at Washington University in St. Louis provides professional development for employees across the university community and is a part of WashU’s “Here and Next” strategic plan, giving employees the chance to learn new skills and enhance their abilities.
The Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide first-line supervisors and individuals who oversee small teams or program initiatives with strategies to become better leaders.
The Leadership Excellence and Development Program is designed to be the “flagship” training for mid-career to seasoned employees who currently hold or seek to attain “mission critical” leadership positions within their department or school.
The WashU LEAD Coaching Program is designed to build internal peer-to-peer coaching capacity within the WashU workforce.
The deadline to apply to the coaching program is May 15. The deadline to apply for the Emerging Leaders Program and Leadership Excellence and Development Program is June 1. To learn more about the programs and to submit an application, visit the Institute for Leadership Excellence website.
