Two Master of Landscape Architecture candidates in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis have won Student Chapter Awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects’ St. Louis Chapter.
Ophelia Yuting Ji received the Merit Award for “Landscape | Pipeline,” which re-examines the forested, vacant site of the former Pruitt-Igoe housing project in north St. Louis.
Siting Huo received the Honor Award for “Release: Room for the Mississippi River,” which would re-energize the downtown and riverfront district of Alton, Ill., while reserving nearby wetlands as an extension of the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary.
