Mohamed A. Zayed, MD, PhD, associate professor of surgery and of radiology at the School of Medicine, received a four-year $2.1 million grant from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for research titled “Regulation of endothelial lipid metabolism in the setting of diabetes and critical limb ischemia to prevent surgical complications.”
