Jeremy Goldbach, a nationally recognized scholar on LGBTQ+ mental health and the inaugural Masters & Johnson Distinguished Professor in Sexual Health and Education at the Brown School, died Saturday, June 7, 2025, of cancer. He was 42.

Brad Warner, MD, a beloved pediatric surgeon and researcher at Washington University School of Medicine who specialized in gastrointestinal surgery in children, died at his home Friday, April 4, 2025. He was 66.

Julian Fleischman, an associate professor emeritus of molecular microbiology at Washington University School of Medicine, died Jan. 18 at his home in Sharon, Mass., from complications following a fall. He was 91.

William D. Owens, MD, a highly regarded professor emeritus of anesthesiology and former head of the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine, died of cancer Jan. 3.

Floyd E. Bloom, MD, an honorary emeritus trustee at Washington University in St. Louis, died Jan. 8. He was 88. A WashU Medicine alumnus, he made groundbreaking contributions to modern neuroscience.

Carl W. Conrad, an associate professor emeritus of classics in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died Feb. 20. He was 90.

Charles Lipton, an honorary emeritus trustee of Washington University, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, in Wellington, Fla. He was 96. Lipton also had served as chair of the WashU Public Relations Council for over 30 years.

Sean McWilliams, a 29-year employee of Washington University in St. Louis, died at his home Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. He was 55. A celebration of life will be held March 7.

Ardan Carlisle, a first-year student studying mathematics in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, died Dec. 19, 2024, of an undiagnosed medical condition. He was 18.

Jerome J. Sincoff, a former dean of architecture in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, died in hospice Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024. He was 91.
