Mondal wins NSF grants

Debashis Mondal, associate professor of mathematics and statistics in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, received a $299,999 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for research on distance-based analysis for complex high-dimensional data.

Mondal also received a $73,789 NSF grant for his project titled “Markov random fields, geostatistics and matrix-free computation.”
