The second annual university-wide food drive, PB&Joy, soon will be under way and all faculty, staff and students are invited to join a planning committee.
Last year’s drive yielded nearly 3 tons of food, which primarily helped 135,000 St. Louis area children at risk for hunger.
Committee members are asked to attend two meetings:
- a one-hour launch meeting at noon Thursday, Feb. 2, or at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, in Room 248 of the Danforth University Center; and
- a one-hour March planning meetings at noon Thursday, March 22, or at 4 p.m. Friday, March 23, in Room 233 of the Danforth University Center.
The food drive will take place April 5-16.
Volunteers can help in many different ways, such as joining a publicity team, assisting on special events or handling logistics in their department, among other roles.
