Revamped academic integrity process begins
After two years of community input, WashU has streamlined the undergraduate academic integrity process. Dedicated staff in the Office of the Provost will help with student questions and faculty support, and an advisory board will review the overall process and serve on hearings.
Universitywide blood drive next week
The Campus Y will host a universitywide blood drive Tuesday, Sept. 10, and Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Umrath Hall Lounge on the Danforth Campus. Donors can give blood from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Olin StartUp Grants to award $50,000 to WashU, St. Louis-based startups
WashU Olin Business School’s entrepreneurship program will award two $25,000 grants to WashU-founded or St. Louis-based startups. Applications are due by Oct. 1.
WUPD launches texting service to gather feedback
In an effort to better serve the WashU community, the Washington University Police Department is sending text message surveys after some service calls. The surveys are short and voluntary, said WUPD chief Angela Coonce.
Gray appointed interim chief financial officer
David J. Gray has been appointed interim senior vice chancellor and chief financial officer, Chancellor Andrew D. Martin announced.
Parking announces updated shuttle schedule
Parking and Transportation at WashU has updated its shuttle services and schedule, effective Aug. 26. The changes aim to streamline transportation options and improve efficiency.
County voters can vote at the DUC
St. Louis County voters may cast their primary ballots from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Danforth University (DUC) on the Danforth Campus. Voters need a photo ID issued by the state of Missouri (such as a driver’s license or state ID) or a photo ID issued by the federal government (such as a passport).
Register for summer wellness challenge
The Office of Human Resources at Washington University in St. Louis is offering Go Gold!, a four-week challenge inspired by the 2024 Olympics to improve physical and mental well-being habits, beginning July 29. Registration is now open.
WashU Night at the Ballpark tickets on sale
WashU Night at the Ballpark will be Sept. 6 when the Cardinals face the Seattle Mariners. Each ticket holder will receive a WashU-branded sling bag. Get game details and purchase tickets on the HR website.
WUPD active shooter training drill Thursday
The Washington University Police Department will conduct its biannual active shooter training exercise July 11 at the South Campus. The training exercise is not in response to a specific threat but is a proactive measure to ensure WUPD’s preparedness.
