The theme of this year’s Diwali performance is “Dhamaka,” the Hindi word for explosion or blast. Director Mythili Kartik says the concept captures the pride she feels bringing her South Asian culture to the WashU community. This year’s performance runs Nov. 7-8 at Edison Theatre.

Three engineering alumni who recently earned their degrees from Washington University in St. Louis won first place at the Collegiate Inventor’s Competition with a tool to help those with food allergies.

An initiative of the Bauer Leaders Academy, the Leadership Development Badge provides WashU students with new skills through workshops, personalized coaching and applied leadership experiences. The program is available to all undergraduate students at no cost. This month, the Bauer Leaders Academy hosts WashU Leadership Week.

The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis is raising funds to create a practicum award honoring Jeremy T. Goldbach, a faculty member and nationally recognized scholar on LGBTQ+ mental health who died of cancer in June at age 42.
