WashU Law presented its 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards recently in Anheuser-Busch Hall.

Jin Huang, an expert in the development of social policies that support family and child well-being, has been installed as the Irving Louis Horowitz Professor in Social Policy at the WashU Brown School.

A scholar of modern Jewish history specializing in East European Jewry and its diaspora communities, Samuel Glauber’s work has appeared in numerous journals.

Celeste Karch was recognized for pioneering Alzheimer’s research, advancing stem cell, genomic and collaborative neurodegeneration studies.

Ravi Vij, MD, a national leader in the research and treatment of blood cancers, has been installed as the inaugural Jeffrey S. and Prue H. Gershman Distinguished Professor in the John T. Milliken Department of Medicine at WashU Medicine.

Janet S. Lee, MD, a physician-scientist in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care at WashU Medicine, is internationally recognized for groundbreaking research in acute lung injury.

Yan Yu, a scientist trained in both chemistry and engineering whose research focuses on developing nanotechnologies to detect and treat immune-related diseases, is the inaugural Art Krieg Professor at WashU. Yu gave a talk titled “Breaking Barriers: From Immune Cells to Classrooms.”

Anne M. Drewry, MD, a nationally recognized leader in critical care medicine, has been installed as the inaugural Llorin-Roa Professor of Anesthesiology at WashU Medicine.

The largest gift in WashU history, from the Bursky Family Foundation, will advance the School of Public Health’s vision in a post-pandemic world.

Vicki Match Suna, executive vice president and vice dean for real estate development and facilities at NYU Langone Health, has received the 2026 Dean’s Medal from the WashU Sam Fox School.
