Former U.S. Rep. Richard A. “Dick” Gephardt (D-Mo.) will discuss the 2012 presidential and congressional elections from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, in the Danforth University Center (DUC), Room 234, at Washington University in St. Louis.
Gephardt’s talk, “A Political Insider’s Guide to the 2012 Election,” is free and open to the public.

The discussion with Gephardt, which will include a question-and-answer session, is the culmination of a seven-week-long series of evening panel discussions on a wide range of political issues and topics.
Called “Issues and Ideas: Election 2012,” the series is sponsored by WUSTL’s Gephardt Institute for Public Service.
Gephardt is a former 14-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives who served as both minority and majority leader.
During his tenure, Gephardt ran twice for the presidency in 1988 and 2004. Since retiring from the House, he has worked as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C., and has joined the Bipartisan Policy Center as a senior fellow.
