Mike Mazzeo, the Knight Family Professor of Economics and dean of WashU Olin Business School, was installed Feb. 3 as the inaugural Judy and Jerry Kent Dean.

David Wang, an acclaimed microbiologist and virologist at WashU Medicine, is known for his work identifying new viruses and understanding their roles in human diseases.

Tonya Edmond, at the Brown School, has been installed as the William E. Gordon Distinguished Professor. A ceremony took place Feb. 9 in Hillman Hall.

Sociologist Kenneth “Andy” Andrews, an expert in the dynamics and influence of social movements, was installed as the Tileston Professor in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis.

Biologist Toby Pennington recently was installed as the inaugural David and Dorothy Kemper Professor at Washington University in St. Louis.

Jonathan B. Losos, PhD, and Charles F. Zorumski, MD, are the recipients of Washington University in St. Louis’ 2025 faculty achievement awards, according to Chancellor Andrew D. Martin. They were among several people recognized during WashU’s annual Founders Day celebration.

Jennifer Bellamy, a professor and director of the Evaluation Center at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, has been installed as the Shanti K. Khinduka Distinguished Professor. An installation ceremony was held Oct. 8 in Hillman Hall.
