A task force composed of faculty, staff and students charged with evaluating the interactions between faculty mentors and their graduate and professional students or postdoctoral fellow mentees at WashU recently completed its report and made recommendations.

Three researchers from Washington University have received highly competitive and prestigious National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director’s awards totaling $10 million over five years.

Will Ross, MD, the associate dean for diversity and the Alumni Endowed Professor of Medicine at WashU Medicine, has received the 2024 Louis W. Sullivan, MD, Award from the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Occupational Health Services is holding free on-site flu vaccine clinics for WashU employees on both the Danforth and Medical campuses. Flu shots will take place on the Danforth Campus Oct. 7-11.

For the second straight year, WashU has won the Citizens for Modern Transit College Transit Challenge. The annual competition encourages students, staff and faculty from local colleges to log their rides on MetroLink and Metro buses for bragging rights and the College Transit Trophy.

WashU will host a conference, “Data for Good: Attracting and Retaining Talent in St. Louis,” Wednesday, Oct. 9, for local business, academic and community leaders to discuss how to build and sustain a thriving talent ecosystem in St. Louis.

WashU has begun deploying Workday Student, which will replace a variety of student information systems, including WebSTAC, WebFAC, WebAdvising and WUCRSL/Course listings, starting in February. There are many ways that students and employees can prepare.
