Chancellor Andrew D. Martin’s annual State of the University address will be available to view online March 7.

Parking & Transportation Services at Washington University in St. Louis provides several updates, including its new director, vehicle storage during spring break and upcoming campus events that may affect parking.

The Knight Executive Education Center has completed renovations on 66 guest rooms and is holding an open house for the campus community from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7.

The university has established a framework to examine issues of naming or renaming of buildings and other spaces, professorships and scholarships. People can submit requests for named features to be reviewed. Applications are open for two at-large members to join the Naming Review Board.

To ensure broad communication, certain key university policies are published annually in The Record. These policies are intended to promote and support a positive working and learning environment. The policies also are available on the Human Resources website.

One of the world’s largest neuroscience research buildings was dedicated Jan. 18 on the Medical Campus. The 11-story building is named the Jeffrey T. Fort Neuroscience Research Building, in recognition of a gift from Fort, a longtime university supporter.

School of Medicine Dean David H. Perlmutter, MD, will give his annual State of the School Address in person Jan. 23 and Jan. 26 on the Medical Campus. Faculty and staff are invited to register to attend in person or online.

The Office of Sustainability offers tips for reducing energy use during the winter break. It’s also hosting the annual holiday lights recycling drive through Feb. 2.

WashU will begin to roll out Workday Student, the replacement for most of the university’s student information systems, next fall. To learn what is changing and to preview the system, faculty and staff are encouraged to register for Workday Student “Sneak Peeks,” a monthly webinar series beginning in January.
