Giles

Whether she is delivering her smart and witty commentaries from her Web site or from the stage or from the popular and award-winning program CBS Sunday Morning, Giles sees today’s world from a distinct vantage point and is not shy about opining on topics ranging from the personal to the political.

Many of her best pieces tackle difficult subjects but are presented in perceptive and provocative ways, such as her insights regarding racism and sexism viewed through the cultural prism of Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction.”

A veteran of the Chicago-based Second City improvisation troupe, Giles’ acting career includes two successful one-woman shows off-Broadway, Black Comedy: The Wacky Side of Racism and Notes of a Negro Neurotic. She also had roles in two television series, China Beach and Delta.
