WUSTL juniors are encouraged to begin thinking about applying for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship in public service. Each year, more than 70 outstanding college juniors from across the country receive this prestigious $30,000 graduate school scholarship. WUSTL has had a winner in each of the last two years.
Truman scholars must:
• be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals
• have excelled academically at college
• have extensive records of public and community service
• be committed to careers in government or elsewhere in public service
• have outstanding leadership potential and communication skills
Truman Scholarships are merit awards- financial need is not a consideration in awarding the scholarship.
