Lorraine Goffe-Rush, director of employee relations and human resources, presents a photo to Harry Moppins, president of the Black Alumni Association, during a recent award reception in Whittemore House recognizing the seven individuals selected as 2006 Gerry and Bob Virgil Ethic of Service Award recipients. The award is presented annually to a select group of WUSTL community members who exemplify a character of service and giving to the St. Louis region. This year’s winners were Moppins; Jane Aiken, J.D., the William M. Van Cleve Professor of Law; Phyllis Ballard, clinical nurse coordinator in pediatrics in the School of Medicine; Seth Bloom, student in the School of Medicine; Chancellor Emeritus William H. Danforth; Ollie Fisher, alumni and co-founder of Give Kids A Smile; and junior Lorin Kline.
