Center for the Humanities makes spring awards

Several humanities faculty members received individual research grants this spring from the Center for the Humanities in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis.

Medicine

Donated kidneys from deceased COVID-19 patients are safe to transplant

Kidneys from organ donors who were diagnosed with COVID-19 are safe to transplant and don’t transmit the virus to people who receive those organs, according to a new study led by researchers at the School of Medicine.

Engineering

20 years of progress in interfacial sciences and engineering

Young-Shin Jun, at the McKelvey School of Engineering, co-authored a review paper in Chemical Reviews that celebrates scientific advances in the field of interfacial reactions, which happen at the boundary where materials in different phases meet.
