At a ceremony Nov. 18 at the downtown Millennium Hotel St. Louis, University Police Chief Don Strom (left), joined by Maj. Robert Trittler of the St. Louis County Police Department, displays a plaque that recognizes the University’s Police Department as a 2005 Outstanding Local Government Achievement Award recipient from the East-West Gateway Council of Governments. The annual award is presented to honor the achievements of local government officials, staff and citizens who work diligently to improve the quality of life in metro St. Louis.
