Stuart Greenbaum, dean of the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, will deliver his annual State of the School address at the Olin School’s Century Club Speaker series on Thursday, May 12 at 8 a.m.
Greenbaum’s speech will be his final address on the state of the school before he steps down from his position on June 30. He will also be the final speaker of the series for this academic year.
For the past decade Greenbaum’s leadership has improved the overall quality of Olin’s faculty, students, curriculum and facilities. This year brought new initiatives and leadership in career services and executive education, as well as new offerings in both undergraduate and graduate education. New joint programs in business and biomedical engineering were established. The new Olin Partners’ Program launched in the fall was recently cited in Business Week for its innovative one-day seminar design.
The Century Club Speaker Series was started in the late 1970s. It provides the community opportunities to hear highly regarded business leaders speak about the challenges and opportunities in their industry. The series hosts about five speakers a year with an average attendance of 200 to 300 people.
Greenbaum will deliver his speech in May Auditorium in the basement of Simon Hall at Washington University. Simon Hall is situated off of Forsyth Blvd. between Big Bend and Skinker.
