Two architecture faculty from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, along with one recent alumnus, have won important honors in the 2013-14 Architectural Education Awards.
Bruce Lindsey, dean of architecture and the E. Desmond Lee Professor for Community Collaboration, has won the Distinguished Professor Award, which recognizes “sustained creative achievement in the advancement of architectural education through teaching, design, scholarship, research or service.”
Associate professor Peter MacKeith, working in collaboration with 2004 graduate Philip Tidwell, has won a Creative Achievement Award for the exhibition “Light Houses: On the Nordic Common Ground.” Curated for “Common Ground,” the 13th international Venice Architecture Biennale, the exhibition was featured in the Nordic Pavilion, representing Finland, Norway and Sweden.
