Students Julia Millot, a senior in Olin Business School, and Asher Trangle, a junior in Arts & Sciences, at Washington University in St. Louis parlayed their knowledge of Ron Swanson, the meat-eating, mustache-sporting boss on the TV show Parks and Recreation, into free tickets to see actor Nick Offerman at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Edison Theatre. The team (above) on Nov. 5 won an Offerman-inspired trivia contest at Tisch Commons, the first event of “Nick Week.” The rest of Offerman’s fans can secure their seats today, Thursday, Nov. 7, to see the comedian. Hosted by the Social Programming Board, the show is free to students. Tickets will be distributed outside Edison Theatre at the Mallinckrodt Center from 4:30-6:30 p.m. today and noon-4 p.m. Friday. WUSTL students, faculty and staff also may reserve VIP tickets on Bazaarboy for $15 beginning at 8 a.m. today. Other “Nick Week” activities today include an Offerman cookie contest at Café Bergson and a happy hour at 5:30 p.m. at the Gargoyle. For more information, visit here.
