Washington University School of Medicine faculty and staff are invited to Hudlin Park for the School of Medicine’s Employee Appreciation Lunch June 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year, the event will include a Health Happening wellness fair. Seventeen vendors will provide information about the health aspects of walking. Screenings for feet, shoes, lungs, posture, ergonomics, pedometer settings and other health information will be available. In addition, more information will be available about Tread the Med, the School of Medicine’s walking program set to launch in August. School of Medicine employees may register to be a team captain or to be a “Walkstar.”
Kenrick’s Catering will provide pulled pork or chicken, vegan burgers, fruit salad and other side dishes. Ted Drewes Frozen Custard also will be available. Identification and lunch ticket are required. Limited seating (in the shade) will be available.
The following week, the Fifth Annual School of Medicine Employee Length of Service Award Ceremonies will be held at the Eric P. Newman Education Center June 9. Employees receiving awards for 10 and 15 years of service will be recognized at 10 a.m., and those receiving awards for 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service will be recognized at 1 p.m.
