The Graduate Professional Council’s 2010 Bridging GAPS (Graduate and Professional Students) Awards were announced during a ceremony April 7 in the Jane Goldberg Formal Lounge in the Danforth University Center.
Awards were presented to graduate student groups and individuals for their exceptional work and interdisciplinary initiatives in “bridging the gaps” between graduate and professional students from the eight schools of Washington University in St. Louis and from the larger community.
“Collaboration between disciplines drives innovation in our diverse world,” said Andrew Bradley, chair of the Bridging GAPS committee and a graduate student in the George Warren Brown School of Social Work and Olin Business School.
“The groups and individuals nominated for the GPC’s Bridging GAPS Awards are making a profound impact at the university by bringing together students from across campus and organizing events and initiatives that bridge the gap between education and application,” Bradley said.
