Forums will seek feedback for sustainability strategic plan

One of Washington University’s most important initiatives is the establishment of an operational sustainability strategic plan. Although improvements have been made in creating a more sustainable environment on our campuses, the Sustainable Operations Leadership Council (SOLC) has been collaborating to map out a comprehensive plan with long-term concrete goals.

That plan has been drafted and is ready for input by a wider audience. The Office of Sustainability, led by Matt Malten, assistant vice chancellor for sustainability, and under the direction of Hank Webber, executive vice chancellor for administration, will host a series of forums to seek suggestions, comments and guidance in formulating the final plan.

All members of the WUSTL community are encouraged to read the draft plan and attend at least one of the forums, which will include a poster session and a presentation. Each presentation will summarize the draft plan, answer questions and gather feedback. To read the draft plan, visit wustl.edu/sustain.
