Storing your car over winter break

Washington University allows all members of the University community to store vehicles on campus during Thanksgiving break, winter break and spring break. For winter break 2009, students, faculty and staff may leave their cars in the following approved storage locations:

Wohl Garage (South 40, Shepley Drive) – brown zones only

Snow Way Garage (North Side, Snow Way Drive) – yellow zones only

Millbrook Garage (North Side, Throop Drive) – yellow zones only

Those who do not currently possess an annual parking permit may obtain a free placard from the office of parking services, which will allow for vehicle storage for the duration of winter break.

Those who need a free placard must visit the office of parking services, located on the North Campus at 700 Rosedale Avenue, to complete a vehicle storage form and receive the placard, which must be displayed on the vehicle dashboard during the break period.

Those who have an annual parking permit may store vehicles during the break period without obtaining a placard. However, an emergency contact form must be filled out and returned to parking services prior to the break period.

The emergency contact form is available at the office of parking services. A copy of the emergency contact form has also been provided below.

If you currently have an annual parking permit and you would like to submit your emergency contact form by e-mail, please copy and paste the form below, fill in the required information and submit the completed form to parktrans@wustl.edu.

Questions regarding vehicle storage during winter break may be directed to the office of Parking Services at 935-5601.

Best wishes for a safe and happy winter break!
