Bruce Lindsey, dean of the College of Architecture and the Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design, was formally installed by Chancellor Mark Wrighton as the E. Desmond Lee Professor for Community Collaboration in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts Aug. 25. The professorship is one of four established at Washington University since 1997 by St. Louis philanthropist E. Desmond Lee, a 1940 graduate of the John M. Olin School of Business. Lindsey, who arrived at Washington University in 2006, is known for his work with low-income housing as well as environmentally sustainable projects.
