Applications are now being accepted for awards from the University’s American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (ACS-IRG). Applications are due Sept. 13.
The program, which provides seed money for new projects initiated by junior faculty, provides one-year awards of up to $20,000.
Eligibility is limited to instructors and assistant professors who are within six years of their first independent research or faculty appointment. Individuals who have previously received ACS-IRG awards or major grants, such as R01 or R21 grants, from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the American Cancer Society or Department of Veterans Affairs are not eligible. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals or have proof of permanent residency at the time of application.
