About 20 area science teachers were on the Danforth Campus July 18-19 to study alternative energy and laboratory science experiments that they will take back to their classes in the fall. The teachers, from private schools and the St. Louis, Ferguson-Florissant, Hazelwood, Rockwood, Webster Groves and Kirkwood districts, participated in the Biofuels: Hot Topics program, sponsored by Washington University Science Outreach with funding from the National Science Foundation and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
