Recognizing degree candidates

Jeremiah M. Giles, a master of engineering management degree candidate from the School of Engineering & Applied Science, receives a WUSTL memento from Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton during the December Degree Candidate Recognition Ceremony Dec. 3 in Graham Chapel. A reception for the more than 110 degree candidates who attended the ceremony, along with their families, friends, faculty and administrators, followed in Mallinckrodt Student Center. Ronald J. Himes, founder and producing director of The St. Louis Black Repertory Company, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, delivered remarks at the ceremony. Himes, a 1978 graduate of University College in Arts & Sciences, is the University’s first Henry E. Hampton, Jr. Artist-in-Residence in Arts & Sciences.
