Campus Watch

The following incidents were reported to University Police Nov. 2-8. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. Nov. 3

While on patrol, a WUPD officer observed a vehicle that had license plates that appeared to have been tampered with. A record check showed that the plates were stolen from St. Louis City. The vehicle was stopped, the driver arrested and the vehicle towed. The vehicle had not been reported as stolen.

Nov. 4

Early this morning, a parking services employee spotted a subject trying to start a moped. The subject then walked off. The employee alerted police, who found the subject some distance away. The person had a significant record, including trespassing on campus. The subject was arrested and charged with tampering with the moped.

Nov. 5

Two students were found inside of a construction crane outside of Koenig House early this morning. After explaining they did it on a dare, they were referred to the judicial administrator.

Nov. 7

A student reported she left her purse unattended on a table in Olin Library for about 20 minutes, and when she returned to the table, the purse was gone. Total loss is estimated at $68.

University Police also responded to three larcenies, three alarms and one report each of lost article and judicial violation.
