Naming Review Board appointed
The university has established a framework to examine issues of naming or renaming of buildings and other spaces, professorships and scholarships. People can submit requests for named features to be reviewed. Applications are open for two at-large members to join the Naming Review Board.

Sudhir M. Singh, MD, an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipid Research at the School of Medicine, died Dec. 24 following a short illness. He was 45.
Genin awarded Savio L-Y. Woo Translational Biomechanics Medal
Guy Genin, the Harold and Kathleen Faught Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering, has been awarded the Savio L-Y. Woo Translational Biomechanics Medal from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Weisensee wins Young Investigator Program grant

John Sprague, the Sidney W. Souers Professor Emeritus of Government in the Department of Political Science in Arts & Sciences, died Dec. 21, 2023. He was 89.

Brownson named SOPHE 2024 Honorary Fellow
