WUPD active shooter training drill tomorrow
The Washington University Police Department will conduct an active shooter training exercise tomorrow on the west side of the Danforth Campus near fraternity row. The training exercise is not in response to a specific threat but is a proactive measure to ensure WUPD’s preparedness.
Parking provides summer updates
Parking and Transportation Services reminds the WashU community about Danforth Campus parking permit availability and Metro U-Pass registration, and provides an update on summer construction work.
Register for U-Passes, parking permits
Starting at 10 a.m. June 7, Danforth Campus employees can register for a U-Pass as well as purchase a 2023-24 Danforth Campus parking permit. WashU School of Medicine employees also can register for a U-Pass or Danforth Campus reciprocal parking permit.
Remembrance committee established, begins work
Washington University has established the Committee to Examine Remembrance and Commemoration to evaluate professorships, buildings and other honors named for people to ensure such recognition aligns with the university’s values and, where needed, to confront history and to learn from the past.
Dining Services announces summer hours, food trucks
With the academic year concluded, Dining Services has announced summer hours for various dining spots around the Danforth Campus. Also, a rotation of food trucks will be outside the Danforth University Center at lunch time on workdays through May 31.
University renews commitment to preventing sexual harassment
Washington University is a member of the Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education, an initiative of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The university is committed to addressing and preventing sexual harassment and maintaining an environment where everyone can feel safe working and learning.
Whittemore House open Commencement weekend
The Whittemore House will be open to non-members during Commencement weekend. The club will serve lunch Friday and Saturday and a prix fixe dinner at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m Saturday.
Academic integrity work progresses
Washington University is moving ahead with plans to centralize the undergraduate academic integrity process. The university community may offer feedback regarding proposed changes until Sept. 1.
