Facilities services consolidated in Olin Hall
Several offices in facilities management at the School of Medicine are consolidating services and business operations beginning May 5. They will be located on the first floor of Olin Residence Hall. Custodial services, facilities engineering and parking and transportation will merge in the newly named Facilities Integrated Service Center (FISC).
PB&Joy drive collects record amount of food
PB&Joy, WUSTL’s annual food drive, collected a record 16,908 pounds of nutritious, kid-friendly food for Operation Food Search this month. That’s more than double the amount collected last year.

Tamara King, JD, has been named associate dean of students and director of student conduct at Washington University in St. Louis. King advises students, faculty and staff on issues ranging from student behavior to academic integrity.

Steven Fazzari to be installed as the Bert A. and Jeanette L. Lynch Distinguished Professor
Steven Fazzari, PhD, will be installed as the Bert A. and Jeanette L. Lynch Distinguished Professor in a ceremony on Monday, April 21. He is the first to receive this distinction in the Department of Economics, thanks to the generosity of the Lynches, who have provided for a total of three new professorships. The other two are named in honor of Douglass C. North, PhD, and the late Murray L. Weidenbaum, PhD.; these appointments will be made at a future date.

WUSTL economist Steven Fazzari sees the need for building a strong macroeconomy that can establish a healthy demand for the new products and services created by innovators. His research suggests that innovation alone is not sufficient to build a healthy economy.
New signage, improved markings for campus bicycle safety
The Forsyth pedestrian and cycling path will get new signage this spring. The new markings, applied directly on the path, will improve legibility and safety, says Andrew Heaslet, alternative transportation coordinator.
Kidder installed as the Edward S. and Tedi Macias Professor
Anthropologist Tristram Kidder, PhD, was installed April 7 as the Edward S. and Tedi Macias Professor in Arts & Sciences during a ceremony in Holmes Lounge, Ridgley Hall. Kidder has served as chair of the Department of Anthropology since 2008.
