Nancy Kay Galofré, who retired from Washington University in St. Louis in 2015, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, in St. Louis, after a battle with cancer. She was 74. Galofré worked at the university for 26 years, including most recently as special events coordinator for the chancellor’s office.

Fred Ssewamala, professor at the Brown School, has received a $3.4 million National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant to study the effectiveness of interventions in Uganda aimed at protecting adolescent girls against known HIV risk factors.

Morris will be joined by other local experts to examine the devastating effects of PTSD on society, as well as to discuss current therapies.
