CRE² accepting applications for funding
The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity invites its faculty affiliates to apply for course innovation grants of up to $5,000. Tila Neguse, senior associate director, says the grants are designed to support next-generation learning opportunities that bring students together to better understand race and ethnicity. Hylarie McMahon, professor emerita, artist, 94
Hylarie McMahon, a professor emerita of art in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, died in hospice Oct. 1 following a short illness. She was 94.

Thomas Nickolas, MD, a respected clinical nephrologist and researcher focused on kidney disease and bone health, has been named the next director of the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases in the Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
