The Center for Diversity and Inclusion is inviting Washington University in St. Louis students, staff and faculty to come together at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, for “Ring Their Names,” a virtual vigil honoring the lives of George Floyd and other black men, women and trans people who recently have been killed. 

The sixth annual Day of Dialogue & Action took place on both the Danforth and Medical Campuses Feb. 18 and 19 — two full days of talks, panel discussions and workshops that challenged and inspired the more than 700 faculty, staff and students who participated.

Washington University is proud to be part of the American Talent Initiative. The national alliance of leading colleges and universities is on track to enroll 50,000 more lower-income students by 2025, a newly released report shows.

The annual Day of Dialogue & Action hosts “Mindfulness: Disrupting Biases With Compassion and Inspiring Positive Change,” unique sessions where participants will learn mindfulness skills and explore how mindfulness can lead to compassion.

Olusegun Obasanjo, an economic innovator in Africa and two-time leader of Nigeria, will make his first stop in the Midwest to kick off the third annual Olin Africa Business Forum at Washington University in St. Louis.

The process of truly connecting with others — no matter their differences — can be challenging, even difficult at times. Columnist and filmmaker Aisha Sultan will explore the theme of embracing others during her upcoming keynote for the university’s annual Day of Dialogue & Action on Feb. 18.

Chancellor Andrew D. Martin will deliver the keynote address at Washington University in St. Louis’ Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in Graham Chapel.

Senior Sean Dunnsue is leading the Men’s Project at Washington University, one of a growing number of student groups across the country that is examining concepts of masculinity.

In launching the St. Louis Queer + Support Helpline (SQSH), senior Luka Cai is providing the local community the support they never received as a queer teenager in Singapore. Cai and co-founder Riott Kochman, a Brown School student, will receive a Holobaugh honor for SQSH at the annual James M. Holobaugh Honors Ceremony Nov. 11.
