The seasonal flu vaccine is required for all Washington University employees, including faculty, staff and trainees, on the Danforth and Medical campuses by Nov. 19.

BJC HealthCare soon will break ground on a 16-story inpatient hospital tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The new tower is an important component of BJC’s Campus Renewal, a long-term vision to transform the Medical Campus to improve the experiences of patients and families.

The Washington University community gathered at Graham Chapel Oct. 2 to honor the legacy of Chancellor Emeritus William H. Danforth, MD, a leader who transformed the university, the region and the lives of countless students, patients, faculty and civic leaders. 

The Washington University Office of Information Security has finalized its annual update of information security policies. The office also will offer events and resources during October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month, to keep the university community informed and secure.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Chancellor Emeritus William H. Danforth, MD, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, in Graham Chapel.

The Office of Human Resources will present the Take Care Series, a virtual monthlong wellness experience that will provide short webinar presentations and Q&A sessions. The series kicks off Oct. 4 and runs through Oct. 28.

Henry S. Webber, executive vice chancellor for civic affairs and strategic planning at Washington University in St. Louis, will leave the university at the end of 2021, according to Chancellor Andrew D. Martin.

As many School of Medicine employees are now required to wear red, black and gray scrubs, the Operations & Facilities Management Department, in partnership with the Office of Sustainability and MedNik Riverbend Textiles, is hosting a scrubs collection until Oct. 10.
