Parking provides updates
Parking and Transportation Services announced several plans for spring, including a new shuttle provider and tracking app and participation in the College Transit Challenge.
MetroLink station redesign wins architectural award
The Central West End MetroLink station redesign project received an Excellence in Architecture award from the 2022 American Institute of Architects Central States Excellence in Design Program. The School of Medicine’s Operations & Facilities Management Project Team helped lead the renovation.
Leadership institute for employees established
Washington University has created the Institute for Leadership Excellence, which will provide professional development opportunities for staff members across the university. Selection for two cohorts will begin in April.

Reminder of key university policies

University Libraries accepting submissions for three award programs
University Libraries is accepting submissions from WashU community members for three awards programs: The Carl Neureuther Student Book Collection Essay Competition, the Newman Exploration Travel Fund and the Mendel Sato Research Award.

Defibrillator demos available for employees, students
Washington University has equipped every building on every campus with an automated external defibrillator (AED), a device that can save lives. On-site demonstrations are available for departments and student groups.
Campus blood drive Tuesday
A university blood drive will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24. Donors can give blood from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Umrath Hall Lounge on the Danforth Campus.
