The Washington University Danforth Staff Council has elected its executive officers for the academic year and added five new members.
Johnson named Freund Teaching Fellow
Dallas-based artist Tamara Johnson will serve as the Sam Fox School’s next Henry L. and Natalie E. Freund Teaching Fellow. Designed to promote the creation and exhibition of contemporary art, the appointment is sponsored in collaboration with the Saint Louis Art Museum, which will present a solo exhibition of Johnson’s work in fall 2023.
Sweitzer named vice chair of clinical research in medicine
Nancy K. Sweitzer, MD, PhD, a professor of medicine, has been named vice chair of clinical research for the Department of Medicine and director of clinical research for the Cardiovascular Division at Washington University School of Medicine.
Gore appointed associate dean for student conduct, community standards
Nicole Gore has been appointed associate dean for student conduct and community standards at Washington University in St. Louis, announced Robert Wild, associate vice chancellor for student affairs. Gore had served as senior assistant dean for Arts & Sciences. Gore’s appointment took effect Aug. 15.
Shellhaas named associate dean for faculty promotions, career development
Renée Shellhaas, MD, has been named associate dean for faculty promotions and career development at Washington University School of Medicine. She comes to the school from the University of Michigan and begins her new role in October.
Olin dean search committee appointed
