Tsuyoshi Kaneko, MD, chief of the cardiac surgery section in the Department of Surgery at the School of Medicine, has been named the John M. Shoenberg Chair in Cardiovascular Disease.

Kevin Collins, an intellectual property expert, was installed as the Edward T. Foote II Professor of Law at Washington University during a ceremony in March.

At the Board of Trustees meeting March 3, numerous faculty members were appointed with tenure, promoted with tenure or granted tenure. Their new roles will take effect July 1 unless otherwise indicated.

Dorian Traube, a professor in the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California, has been appointed as the next dean of the Brown School, effective Aug. 1, announced Chancellor Andrew D. Martin.

Daniel C. Link, MD, a highly regarded physician-scientist who treats patients with leukemia and also conducts innovative research, has been named director of the Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the School of Medicine.

Mónica Rivera has been named the JoAnne Stolaroff Cotsen Professor of Architecture at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. A lecture and reception to celebrate her appointment were held recently in Steinberg Hall.

Lingxiu Dong, a professor who studies supply chain management at Olin Business School, has been installed as the Frahm Family Professor of Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology.

Greg Hart has been appointed Washington University’s first chief technology officer, announced Jessie Minton, vice chancellor for technology and chief information officer. Hart begins the role March 20.

Julie-Ellen Acosta has been named assistant vice chancellor for the Office of Human Resources at Washington University in St. Louis. Acosta will oversee the Applied Leadership and Learning and Development teams. Her new role took effect March 1.

Michael Mazzeo, a professor of strategy at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, will be the next dean of Olin Business School, effective Jan. 1, according to Chancellor Andrew D. Martin.
