Amy Kweskin, executive vice chancellor for finance and chief financial officer at Washington University in St. Louis, will retire from the university at the end of the calendar year, after 27 years of service, announced Chancellor Andrew D. Martin.

Washington University physicians will no longer prescribe puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to minors for purposes of gender transition. Patients who are currently receiving this care through the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital will be referred to other providers for these services.

The newly formed Ann W. and Spencer T. Olin-Chancellor’s Fellowship will merge two long-standing programs — the Spencer T. and Ann W. Olin Fellowship for Women in Graduate Study and the Chancellor’s Graduate Fellowship — into a single program designed to attract graduate students representing a variety of diverse backgrounds.
