Arts & Sciences recognizes outstanding staff

Four staff members received the 2012-13 Arts & Sciences Outstanding Staff Award from Barbara S. Schaal, PhD, dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences and the Mary-Dell Chilton Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biology at Washington University in St. Louis.

Presented annually, the award honors non-teaching personnel for outstanding creative contributions and exemplary performance that significantly add to the effectiveness of the teaching, advising, counseling and research efforts in Arts & Sciences.

Schaal also presented the Dean’s Award to Ann B. Prenatt, vice chancellor for human resources. The award is presented to a university staff member housed outside of Arts & Sciences who has made key contributions to the school.

Arts & Sciences faculty and administrators nominated the recipients. The honorees each received a framed certificate and $500 during a ceremony and reception, held Aug. 14 in Holmes Lounge.
