Hedwig Lee, professor of sociology in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, has been named co-director of the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity (CRE²) at Washington University. Lee had served as one of the center’s associate directors since its beginning in 2019. 

Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis faculty members Randall J. Bateman, MD, Michael S. Diamond, MD and Scott Hultgren have been elected fellows of the National Academy of Inventors, the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors.
