Theodore H. Seligson wins Distinguished Alumni Award

Kansas City architect among seven Sam Fox School alumni recognized for leadership in art, architecture and design

In a career stretching more than 50 years, Kansas City architect Theodore H. Seligson has won local and national honors for a wide range of projects, from private residences and public buildings to offices, commercial structures and urban planning.

A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Seligson has taught for 25 years at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Historic Kansas City Foundation.

This spring, the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis honored Seligson (BArch ’53) with a 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award. In all, the school recognized seven outstanding alumni who have demonstrated creativity, innovation, leadership and vision in the fields of art, architecture and design.
