The meeting provided Wrighton an opportunity to inform local community members about the latest University happenings, such as the announcement of the upcoming vice presidential debate in October 2008, the volleyball team’s national championship and the groundbreaking of the BJC Institute of Health at Washington University. Wrighton; Arthur J. Ackermann, associate vice chancellor for facilities planning and management; James E. McLeod, vice chancellor for students and dean of the College of Arts & Sciences; Steven P. Hoffner, assistant vice chancellor for real estate and president of Quadrangle Housing; and Cheryl L. Adelstein, director of community relations and local government affairs, also took part in a question-and-answer session, which gave neighbors a chance to voice questions and concerns to University administrators.
