“Publishing Weekend” runs April 6 and 7

The Writing Program in Arts & Sciences will host a two-day “Publishing Weekend” April 6-7. The event will focus on various aspects of the publishing industry and will feature talks and panel discussions with publishers, editors, authors and agents from both mainstream and independent presses.

All events are free and open to the public and take place in Hurst Lounge in Duncker Hall. For more information, call 935-7130.

The “Publishing Weekend” is sponsored by The Writing Program with support from the Department of English in Arts & Sciences and The Career Center.

McCrae is publisher and director of Graywolf Press. Founded in 1974, Graywolf Press is today considered one of the nation’s leading nonprofit literary publishers.

11 a.m. Jennifer Kronovet
An alumna of The Writing Program, Kronovet is co-founder and co-editor of the journal Circumference: Poetry in Translation. She also is awards coordinator for the Academy of American Poets. Her poems have appeared in Crowd, Pleiades and Ploughshares, among others.
